Birmingham Day Retreat
For our Summer Day Retreat, we will be studying the Dance of the Maid of Honour from The Royal Ballet’s production of The Sleeping Beauty. Described as elegant, delicate, refined and joyful, it has a graceful courtly quality typical of the ballet’s royal setting, with soft musical phrasing and intricate classical choreography that emphasises poise, precision, and femininity. The music by Tchaikovsky has a buoyant, flowing quality, while the choreography highlights épaulement, port de bras and refined petit allegro.

This Day Retreat is tailored for adult ballet dancers at an Intermediate level. The repertoire will be modified to suit the level stipulated.

Accommodation if you are travelling from outside of Birmingham however recommendations are available upon request.

Your participation is secured by payment in full or by a 30% deposit, and please note this deposit is non-refundable but can be transferrable.
Payments must be completed in full no later than 4 weeks before the start date of the retreat after which time no refunds are available on either balance.
New bookings made after this date will need to be completed in full.
